Lalo Guerrero

The Father of Chicano Music was born in Tucson, and although he lived in LA and Palm Springs most of his adult life, his heart was always in Tucson.  The link above is to his son, Mark's, site.  There are many radio broadcasts, photographs, and stories available on the site.

There is also now a site dedicated to "The Original Chicano," a television documentary about Lalo's life.  The documentary began airing on PBS in October 2006, and there were some special screenings, including a very festive night in Tucson on November 3, 2006.
