Travis Edmonson - Live in San Francisco

Travis Edmonson Live in San Francisco featuring Bob Shane

Travis Edmonson's music has always been so fresh and new that each new recording offers new fun, new excitement.

This recording is from around 1965. It features the great drummer, Frank Sanchez (including some fantastic solo parts). It is the only known recording of Travis and Frank together.

It is also the only known recording of duets by Travis and Bob Shane, founding member of the Kingston Trio.

As for Travis' solos on the CD, some of the most memorable items are an otherwise unrecorded song called (ironically) "Remembering," in a beautiful medley with "Yesterday." Travis sings his own "If I Were Free," which was a hit for Peter, Paul & Mary. And there is a beautiful arrangement of his original "Haiti" (very different from the Bud & Travis arrangement), in a medley with "Jamaica Farewell."

The CD is fully packed, featuring more than 78 minutes of music. Scroll to the bottom of this page for a listing of the songs and a sample of each).
